We are a multidisciplinary artist duo based in Paris: Karin Crona, a Swedish visual artist, and Anna Mezey, a Swedish-Hungarian poet and artist. Under the name Studio Pezsgő, our collaboration explores the porous boundaries between image and language within a contemporary surrealist aesthetic.
Our practice draws on found and recycled materials — clippings from vintage women’s magazines, torn pages from pulp erotic novels, forgotten typographies. Transformed and reinvented, these fragments become the raw material for a poetic and visual language that questions the representation of bodies, desire, and women’s narratives.
Karin Crona creates a universe of photomontages inspired by Surrealism and Art Brut, where critique and narration intersect. Since 2017, she has been collecting issues of the women’s magazine Pénéla (1967–1973), which she reimagines as series, artist’s books, and wall installations. Her collages, both fragmented and recomposed, interrogate the female

Anna Mezey explores the interplay of text, body, and image through a poetic and visual practice. Drawing on memory, the invisible, and the experience of the body, her work takes
hybrid forms combining writing, performance, and installation. Moving between poetry and prose, her creations place text at the heart of a universe that is both imaginary and real, where the transformations of our environment become a source of inquiry.
